The dates are drawing closer for the spectacular and major
Jazz Music event in the DC area called DC Jazz Fest. The festival is a highly attended event and
there will be over 100 performers and bands bringing a wide variety of Jazz
music to those attending. Global
performers as well as local ones will be offering both ticketed events as well
as many free performances. The festival officially
begins on June 5th and concludes on June 16th with
performances at locations and venues all over the DC area.
One event that should not be missed is the Jazz 'n Families
Fun Days which is designed to help stimulate interest in music in the young
members of the family. This event
actually takes place prior to the official start of DC Jazz Fest on June 1 and
June 2. All events are free. There will be performances as well as an
Instrument Petting Zoo for children so that they can get up close and personal
with a wide variety of musical instruments.
