Hear Sample of Commercial Jingles:
Spirit and Life Church Jingle
Business owners are always looking for a way to have customers remember them and one of the most successful ways is to come up with a song or jingle that “sticks” – one that people notice, it says something about the brand, it’s fun and uplifting, it works, it sells, and is not easily forgotten. A jingle can also be used to commemorate a special event such a team’s new season, a wedding proposal, announcing an engagement, or announcing the upcoming birth of a child. CAISO is a well-known Caribbean steeldrum band, but few know that they are also successful jingle writers.
What has basically been word of mouth type knowledge about CAISO’s excellent jingle writing abilities has now become a part of their business plan. CAISO is opening up their jingle writing services to everyone. A recent press release was put out announcing the opportunity for businesses and individuals to have access to their jingle writing ability which is now a full service.
For individuals it is a way to make an event even more special. CAISO will work with clients to compose the unique jingle to fully capture and represent the moment. Once the jingle is finished, it can be used by the individual or CAISO will perform and record it – the choice is yours. If recorded, it can be shared as an MP3 file with others, recorded to CDs to share, or uploaded online to make an announcement to friends, family, or the world. How better to announce an engagement, an upcoming family reunion, or to invite a group to a major party or event? Surprisingly, getting your own jingle is very affordable.
For businesses it goes without saying that a jingle can make all the difference. Recently AdAge.com came out with a list of the most successful jingles of the century and if you can name the product to the jingle then consider what that jingle did for the company’s sales and profit margin:
You deserve a break today (McDonald's)
Be all that you can be (U.S. Army)
Pepsi Cola Hits the Spot (Pepsi-Cola)
M'm, M'm good (Campbell's)
See the USA in your Chevrolet (GM)
I wish I was an Oscar Meyer Wiener (Oscar Mayer)
Double your pleasure, double your fun (Wrigley's Doublemint Gum)
Winston tastes good like a cigarette should (Winston)
It's the Real Thing (Coca-Cola)
A little dab'll do ya (Brylcreem)
While this is the list for AdAge.com, Forbes also has come up with their top jingles of all time and Coco-Cola’s “I’d like to teach the world to sing” jingle is considered their top jingle. Another jingle is “I don’t want to grow up” which is of course the jingle for Toys R Us and it was happily sung by adults and children all over the world, making each one of those people a living advertisement for the brand. A business doesn’t have to have a jingle, but a successful one most likely does have one.
CAISO has been quite successful in working with clients to bring about a jingle that “works” – it is instantly liked, easy to remember, and it is easy to sing. It can be a few short lines, or a few complete stanzas with a catchy phrase such as the “I’d like to teach the world to sing” jingle that had many lines and the “Two all-beef patties, special sauce” jingle by McDonalds that everyone insisted on learning. If your business or your special event or announcement could use a jingle, and really, couldn’t they all? Then contact Mike King with CAISO and let this talented group of musicians create the winning jingle to put your business or special occasion on everyone’s mind!
