It's a week after the upset that shook up the Music world and put a chill pill to Beiber fever. Ms. Esperanza Spalding's win for Best New Artist at the 2011 Grammy® Awards has caused the ugly to come out in Justin Beiber fans. It's a shame that Justin still has not made a public statement to his fans telling them to stop the hateful comments, death threats, and cyber attacks.
Anyway if Justin and Esperanza can hug about it, then his fans need to build a bridge and get over it. Justin Did.
Ms. Spalding is a humble Star with her Jazz, Funk & Rhythm Swag. We had the opportunity to accompany her during a Music Workshop at the University of Maryland in 2008. Special thanks to Sherwin, Shawn, and Sheldon Thwaites for introducing CAISO to a Grammy® Award winning Musician; we knew then that Esperanza Spalding is truly a special person.
